Nataraj: workshop dans improvisatie en aansluitend Nataraj dance party

Ik weet dat er diverse mensen af en toe naar de Nataraj dansavonden gaan hier in Groningen. Vrijdag 16 oktober is er weer eentje, voorafgegaan door een dans improvisatie workshop, voor iedereen die van dansen houdt, of het juist wil leren. Zoals op de site staat "If you walk, you can dance. If you move you can dance. If you are improvising – you dance."

Tom Goldhand - is a dancer, dance teacher and group facilitator, co-founder and facilitator of Ecstatic Dance Amsterdam, owner and manager of Sadhana Dance School (http://tomgoldhand.com).  Tom has been teaching and creating dance for the last 10 years, and leading groups in festivals and retreats into exploring their ways of movement and awareness to their dance and body.

"I see myself as an improviser, I dance to discover, uncover and recover. In the last years my dance gravitate more and more into exploring movement with awareness and this is what I like to share, whether it is in dance improvisation - the art of here and now, dancing with a partner, going deep into authentic movement or high and above into ecstatic forms of dancing".

Workshop - let your body talk

In this workshop we will have a small taste from the vast world of Dance Improvisation.

In the class We will learn to talk to each other without words, but only with movement. We will learn to agree, to disagree and to find new ways of looking at dance as a way of communication and true listening to each other. This workshop will adress elements and principals from dance improvisation and contact improvisation.

Deze keer dansen we onze sokken weer uit in t Platformtheater met DJ KAREEM RAÏHANI! Doe vooral waar je zin in hebt! Dans alleen of in contact met de ander en voel je vooral vrij om jezelf te zijn!

Schoenenbeleid: Bij Nataraj wordt vooral op blote voeten gedanst. Als je om wat voor reden liever je schoenen aanhoudt doen we daar niet moeilijk over. Let wel goed op dat je op niemands tenen gaat staan.

Muziek: Geen hits, geen goud van oud maar wel een avontuurlijke mix van world grooves tot techno die de danser inspireren om helemaal los te gaan. Vaak gekopieerd maar nooit geevenaard. 

Leeftijd: Nataraj is leeftijdloos. Iedereen is welkom.
